To celebrate and promote National Apprenticeship Week 5-9 March 2018 and to respond to recent feedback for increased networking opportunities we hope many members will along and join us to meet with guests to discuss a range of important questions relating to the controversial Apprenticeship Levy and the business case for apprenticeships and upskilling of young and older workers. How much do HR professionals really understand about apprenticeships? What contribution can they make to training needs post-Brexit?

Objectives:

To inform best practice and the latest developments in apprenticeship funding, provision and delivery.

To engage in debate with guest specialists and other HR professionals about learning and development and training issues and initiatives in your organisation.

To network and share best practice in relation to the Apprenticeship Levy and apprenticeships in general.

Expected outcomes:

Improved understand regarding issues relating to the Apprenticeship Levy and apprenticeships including the new standards for HR apprenticeships.

Sharing of best practice on how others have tackled apprenticeship issues.

A stronger network of apprenticeship specialists and HR professionals and colleagues.
