Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Networking with Freelance Mum – it’s the mother of all networking!

Kicking 2017 off with a WOW - we are joined by Holly Tarquini, Executive Director at Bath Film Festival.

The woman behind the F- Rating; which exists to shine a light on the amazing work that women are doing in film. Not only does she bring the Bath Film Festival to the region, but she's driven by integrity, a love of learning and a naturally positive outlook.

What is networking with Freelance Mum?

In short, it’s business focused networking, in a fun family environment where children are welcome. Children are encouraged! Yes, it is a bit bonkers, but with careful thought & planning, it works.

Meetings are typically the second Tuesday of the month, with the exception of September & International Women's Day, AKA, Brave, Bold & Bonkers on March 8th.

All Freelance Mum meetings, are held at St Paul’s Church on Coronation Rd, BS3 1DG.  Sessions are carefully designed, so both the children & mums needs are looked after. We've been running for over 2 years and have got this bonkers mix down to an art!

Speaking of art, there's always a craft activity for the little ones, provided by Luke Drew This - so you can listen to the guest speaker with ease.

It’s run by mums in business, for mums in business (and yes, we use the word ‘mum’, that’s our default setting, but dads come & are truly welcome).

So how does it work? Here's a 'typical' meeting.

We know when you're planning a day with little ones, it's easy to suffer with 'nap paranoia', so here's what it looks like:

10.00 welcome, chat and fun icebreaker, often led by Brave Bold Drama.

My child is in childcare that day – can I still come? Yes, this event is designed to create opportunities for parents in business with young children, to mix with people ‘in the zone’.

My child is now at school, can I still come? Yes, if you identify with this stage of life, please join us. We welcome extra hands!

I don’t have children, but my business has something I would like to offer freelancing parents – can I come? No. We’re sorry, but we would love to hear what you do & if you would like to become a guest speaker or sponsor, please get in touch. We may run special events later where mums can invite guests. Watch this space.

How long is the walk/what pace is it? The walk is a gentle 30 minutes, we walk at the pace of the slowest walker. There is always a clearly marked leader & backstop, so no one can get lost. Toddler pace/tantrums/scooters/buggys are all made easy.

Refund policy: Provided 48 hours notice is given, a full refund can be made or your ticket carried over.

I can't make all of the meeting - is it still ok to attend?: Of course, just let us know when you can join, we'd love to have you.
