BOOTCAMP - Master Neural Networks

We here at Forskningsparken are happy introduce the latest in learning tech to professionals interested in taking their career to the state of the art in understanding, creating, and formulating your optimized Neural Network from scratch. This is why we present you with our highly engaging and intensive bootcamp

What's this workshop about?
Project based learning. We will create a neural network and learn how to predict something engaging for the purpose of learning - the next hour Bitcoin Price based on the previous hour. Dive into python, numpy, matplotlib and get highly interactive theory and lab practicals at our meetup. Don't just listen to a power point but solve multipe choice questions, fill in the blanks, and coding questions with automatic feedback depending on your precise mistake while we present you with ENGAGING content. You, coming with a basic knowledge of python, will come out with a thorough understanding of Linear Algebra, Calculus, object oriented programming, and finally a full blown optimized neural network with real practical examples and how to program it.

What do I need before hand in order to master Neural Networks in 16 hours?
1. Requirement to have knowledge/experience of the fundamentals- python and brush up on the very basics of calculus.
2. Expert level knowledge of Python is not necessary to be able to understand Neural Networks

Program:
Two days Training
Jan 26 from 9 am to 5 pm
Jan 27 from 9 am to 5 pm

Curriculum: You will learn from our interactive platform but we will thoroughly teach you what editor (IDE) to install, linters, practical debugging tools, etc
Day 1: FeedForward Algorithm
0. Installation of Python on your local computer.
1. Intro to Python
2. What is a variable, function, string, array
3. More advanced on variable function string array
4. What is a class, constructor, why python is an object oriented language
5. What is Numpy, what does shape mean, how do we initialize numpy arrays
6. How do we initalize a Neural Network Class with Weights
7. What are weights and what is feedforward
8. What is the sigmoid function and why do we need it
9. Project: Program our first Feedforward algorithm to predict the Bitcoin Price
10. Analyzing the results of our feedforward algorithm predicting the bitcoin price and how it compares to our prediction

Day 2: Back Propagation
1. Recap of what we learned
a. What is backpropagation and how does it update our weights in our neural network?
b. What is the cost function, how do we tell a Neural Network if it's wrong or right
c. What is a derivative and why do we need the relationship between weights and cost?
d. Project: Program the derivative of the weight and cost function
e. Why do we need to derive the sigmoid function and how to do it
f. Project: Create a cost function and know how it will be applied to our network
2. Project: Apply a training method that will update our algorithms weights
3. How to optimize our algorithm to predict more accurately- for instance add features (weather, day/night, get online news regarding bitcoins)
