NEUReka! and SystSems joint symposium: NEURONAL DIVERSITY
Event Information
Description
Neurons are biochemically, morphologically and electrophysiologically diverse but there is little consensus on what this prominent feature of the brain contributes to circuit function and behaviour. We aim to foster discussion of the potential roles of neuronal diversity by bringing together experts in Developmental, Experimental and Computational Neuroscience to share their perspectives on this issue. After short talks by the speakers, the audience will discuss the topic directly with our panel of experts. The event will be followed by food and drinks from 5pm onwards.
Speakers: Prof. Peter Latham (Gatsby Unit, UCL), Prof. Tom Mrsic-Flogel (Sainsbury Wellcome Centre, UCL), Prof. Oscar Marin (Centre for Developmental Neurobiology, KCL)
Additional Panel: Prof. Troy Margrie (Sainsbury Wellcome Centre, UCL), Prof. Peter Dayan (Gatsby Unit, UCL), Dr Beverley Clark (Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research, UCL), Dr Matthew Grubb (Centre for Developmental Neurobiology, KCL)
