Who is this event for?

NeuroCurious is for anyone interested in learning more about neurodiversity in females in an open, supportive, and inclusive space. You might be recently diagnosed, on the waitlist, or just curious to learn more about yourself or someone you know or care for. No prior knowledge is expected!

Question 2

Is this event open to men / males too?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We strongly encourage men and AMAB (assigned male at birth), trans men to attend, including dads, brothers, boyfriends, male colleagues, all leaders and managers. Neurodivergence affects everyone, and this event is about increasing understanding, connection, and allyship across all communities.

What about non-binary and trans folk?

We welcome all genders to NeuroCurious and are keen for those who are gender diverse to be part of these conversations. Please do join us.

Question 4

What age group is this event for?

Accepted Answer

The event is open to anyone aged 14 - 99 years old. Discovering your neurodivergence, particularly for females, often comes later in life. Our youngest speaker is 21 to help shine a light on different experiences.

Question 5

I can’t make it in person. Will it be recorded?

Accepted Answer

You can select an in person ticket with or without a recording, or a recording ticket only. Recordings will be sent within a week afterwards (please bear with us as we are a small team).

I'm a manager / business leader, can I bring my team?

Accepted Answer

What if I struggle in loud or overwhelming spaces?

We understand. That’s why we have partnered with Joyfully Different and Platfr9m to ensure your sensory needs can be met. We will have a quiet room available throughout the event, traffic light lanyards so you can manage your interactions, and a team to welcome and support you on the night.

Will I have to interact with people?

Accepted Answer

No, there is no expectation for social interaction if you don’t want to and we will have a traffic light lanyard system in place courtesy of Joyfully Different so that it is easy to share with others how you feel without talking. This will be a safe space where everyone is welcomed.

I’m not diagnosed. Can I still attend?

Accepted Answer

Yes, NeuroCurious has been created for people who are just that - curious about neurodiversity, whether for yourself or someone else. Whether you have been diagnosed, are on the waitlist, been wondering for a while, or just curious to learn more - this space is for you.

I’d like one of these talks for my business/event, is that possible?

Yes, The WomenHood offers a variety of online and in person talks across neurodiversity, women's health, money and relationships, to support organisations close their gender gaps. Question 11

Will there be drinks and refreshments?

Accepted Answer

Yes - we have partnered with Lucky Saint beers and CANS, which means we can offer you two free drinks for this launch event. Collect your drinks tokens on arrival. There will be some snacks available, but we suggest eating dinner beforehand if you get hangry!
