Our guest speaker...

Originally from Italy, Dr. Camilla Anello is an experienced Counselling Psychologist with additional training in Couples Therapy. She has a longstanding interest in autism, which began during her early work with non-speaking autistic children and deepened throughout her clinical training. Her doctoral research focused on the lived experience of couples therapy in relationships where one partner is autistic and the other neurotypical. She remains passionate about supporting couples and interested in what it means to love and relate across neurodivergent differences.


In addition to her work in autism, Dr Camilla has a background in drug and alcohol services and brings a compassionate, integrative approach to her practice. She currently works in an NHS Talking Therapies service, where she leads her team’s autism initiative, helping to develop more inclusive and responsive mental health care.


Dr. Camilla has presented her work at professional events hosted by the British Psychological Society and Regent’s University London. She is committed to fostering better understanding and support for neurodivergent individuals in therapeutic settings.
