About The Event
Join us for a fun and inclusive cooking class designed specifically for neurodivergent individuals!

This cooking class is designed for neurodivergent individuals who want to connect through the shared joy of cooking together. You’ll learn how to make a delicious plant-based meal while bonding with other like-minded people in a supportive, sensory-considerate space.

Whether you’re new to cooking or an experienced chef, this class will guide you through creating delicious, plant-based meals in a sensory-friendly environment. While each session includes a new group of participants, every class is designed to foster meaningful moments of group bonding and self-expression.

When booking your spot, you’ll be asked a few questions to help us tailor the experience to your access needs and dietary requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a The Neurodiverse Club event. We’re proud to be hosting it at Made in Hackney, a brilliant venue aligned with our values.
TICKETS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE and all ticketing and event communications go through The Neurodiverse Club directly - info@theneurodiverseclub.com

About The Neurodiverse Club
The Neurodiverse Club is a community focused on empowering neurodivergent individuals and promoting understanding across all abilities. We create spaces for connection, celebration, and education, aiming to build a more inclusive world for everyone. Our events, like this cooking class, provide opportunities for learning, growth, and community-building, where neurodivergent voices are amplified and supported.

About Made In Hackney
Made In Hackney is the UK’s first fully vegan community cookery school and charity, dedicated to promoting plant-based cooking, health, and sustainability. Since 2012, they’ve been offering cookery and food-growing classes to build skills, inspire change, and strengthen community ties.
While this event is not part of their community class programme, we’re thrilled to be using their beautiful kitchen space.

Frequently asked questions

Who are these classes for?

These cooking classes are designed specifically for neurodivergent adults — whether you're diagnosed, self-identifying, or exploring. All levels of cooking experience are welcome.

Can I bring a support person?

Yes! Please let us know on the booking form if you’d like to bring a PA or support buddy so we can plan accordingly.

What access needs can you accommodate?

Lots! You’ll be able to share your access needs when booking, and we’ll do everything we can to make the space supportive - whether that’s sensory tools, dietary needs, or just knowing what to expect on the day.

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope - we’ll provide all the ingredients, equipment, and even aprons. Just bring yourself and anything you need to feel comfortable.

Why isn’t this event free like some of Made in Hackney’s community classes?

This event is organised by The Neurodiverse Club, not Made in Hackney’s core community programme. While we’re hosting the session in their amazing kitchen, this is an independent event that uses a Pay-What-You-Feel model to help cover costs.

Who do I contact with questions or access needs?

Please contact The Neurodiverse Club directly with any questions about the event or your ticket. Made in Hackney is kindly hosting us, but all communication should go through us — this is not part of their public programme.

What does ‘Pay What You Feel’ mean?

It means you choose how much to pay based on your circumstances. We recommend: £1 – minimum contribution £10 – partial contribution £20 – covers your place fully £30 – helps pay it forward for someone else No one is turned away for lack of funds.
