About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join us for 6 weeks while we take you through a journey to understand neurodiversity and help you build a neurodiversity toolkit.

Sessions cover aspects of neurodivergent conditions that are often not discussed, but are the everyday needs every family will encounter.

We discuss how neurodivergent conditions often crossover, including ADHD, which rarely travels alone. Anxiety, sleep issues and medication are always on the list to discuss, as well as building strategies and understanding aspects of the neuroscience we are wading through every day.

We recognise parents, carers, and grandparents are doing the best they can with what they have. You are the expert in your child, and together with ADHD Wise UK, we can support you with strategies and insights to understand your child and create a better connection.

A parent recently said they felt much better equipped to support their teenage daughter because they now "had more tools". It all starts with understanding..

How much does it cost?

£100 in total for 6 sessions.

The cost is per family (not per person), even if a family member needs to dial in from another location. 'Family' includes parents, carers and grandparents.

Payment plans are available.

What topics are covered in the sessions?

We work to help parents understand the additional struggles that come from raising a neurodivergent child and discuss strategies on how to support them without burning out.

During the 6 weeks, we cover topics such as:

  • De-Escalation
  • Behaviour
  • Education
  • Sleep
  • Medication

We also have space for Q&A each week to support you on your journey learning about neurodiversity and understanding your child/ren.

Why 6 weeks?

Spending 6 weeks together gives us time to work through things in detail, and see progress from week to week.

Feedback from previous participants suggests that, as well as developing an understanding of skills and strategies, people benefit from the sense of community that comes from meeting other families in a similar position.
