Do I need a diagnosis to be able to attend this event?

Accepted Answer

No you don't. Anyone is welcome to attend; if you suspect you are neurodivergent or self-identify we will welcome you with or without a 'formal' diagnosis.

Is this event open to all genders?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this event is open to people of all genders. We recognise that hormones affect many neurodivergent people, regardless of gender identity. You're welcome here whether you're cis, trans, non-binary, or exploring your identity.

Will this event focus only on one type of neurodivergence?

Accepted Answer

No, we’ll be exploring two, mainly how hormones interact with the experiences of being Autistic and/or ADHD.

Will you cover topics like HRT?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we’ll touch on different hormonal influences, including natural cycles and medical interventions. This will not be medical advice, but we’ll provide insights and resources.

This is an online event taking place via Zoom.

Yes, a recording will be available for those who register for 2 weeks after the session has ended.

You can share any access needs when you register, or email us in advance. We want to make this event as welcoming and comfortable as possible for everyone.

Will I be able to ask questions during this session?

Yes, you will be able to ask questions in the Q&A box plus you will be able to chat and ask questions between participants as well if you wish. You may benefit from thinking through your questions before the event so you can ask them early.

How will the session be structured?

We have 4 key areas to cover during the session, each will be around 15 minutes long. We aim to leave 30 minutes for Q&A / discussion at the end of the session between 8pm - 8.30pm.

Does this session come with a trigger warning?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the language used in this session will be direct and frank and most importantly scientifically correct. We will be talking about things like periods, menstrual cycles, ovulation, pregnancy, menopause, uteruses as well as mental health including things like post-natal depression and suicide.
