Series of 2-hour evening online workshops: 'Working with Neurodivergent Clients' Workshop 1

Monday 10th June 2024 18.00 until 20.00 BST

Workshop Outline

This is workshop 1, of a five-part series 'Working with Neurodivergent Clients. The workshops are an in-depth exploration of working with neurodivergent clients, looking at the common themes and challenges that neurodivergent people bring to therapy.

All the sessions have plenty of room for discussion and reflection.

They will be delivered in an open and relaxed format where you will be encouraged to join in. This is an evolving area of research and there are still many unknowns. This course will equip you with a tool kit to confidently manage working with neurodivergent clients.

In Workshop 1 we will focus on Neurodiversity.

  • Why are so many people seeking diagnoses?
  • How do you work with people who are awaiting diagnosis?
  • What happens when a client is experiencing challenges in more than one marginalised group?
  • Using the correct terminology and how to approach these very sensitive topics in a session

Who is it aimed at?

Transactional Analysis (TA) counselling and psychotherapy students and practitioners.

Facilitator

Doctor Tanya Banfield
