Hello & thank you for your interest in our joint study day 2017. The theme for the day is New Approaches in the World of Work. We have put together an exciting progamme so that delegates will hopefully leave with new knowledge to apply in their respective fields.

The programme includes:-

9.00am Arrival, Registration & Networking

9.30am Welcome from John Pilkington (VRA) and Alison Biggs (RCOT SS WORK)

9.40am Working Anywhere - Helen Sheldon from The Work Foundation

10.10am DWP - Welfare to work update on the Work and Health programme

10.40am Digital apps and mental health in the workplace - Stephany Carolan

11.10am Refreshments & Networking

11.30am Supporting people with health issues into self employment-Kath Sutherland

12.05pm Using SKYPE for Rehab interventions (practice & evidence) - Beverley Knops

12.40pm Lunch and Networking

1.10pm RCOT SS Work Annual Review Meeting (ARM) or networking

1.40pm Workshops- Using social media to support self employment- Ceri Goodrum OR Practicalities & Ergonomic solutions for mobile workers- Ali Biggs

2.15pm Workshops - AbilityNet demonstration OR Using apps to support rehabilitation

2.50pm Refreshments & Networking

3.00pm VRA Annual General Meeting (AGM) or networking

3.30pm Workshops- What do UK health professionals/OT's feel they need to be equipped to work in VR? Helen Barnes & Sarah Mead OR Training in VR (CDMP & European experience)- Graham Halsey

4.10pm VR/OH Training and development discussion panel

4.45pm Closing summary

5pm Evening Drinks Reception at Heel Tap, Chaucer House, White Hart Yard, Borough High St SE1 1NX. Open to all attendees and non-attendees of the study day.

A light lunch will be provided. Please indicate any dietary requirements when you confirm your booking online.
