New Boosbeck Industries
New Boosbeck Industries is a social enterprise that encourages people to work together to design and build furniture. The project is led by artist Adam Clarke and inspired by Boosbeck Industries, a 1930s initiative led by the Pennyman family that aimed to address unemployment through creativity.
The ambition to find creative solutions to society’s problems. We aim to continu to work with community groups, members of the public and the unemployed to restart this production of bespoke furniture which you can purchase.
The involvment of our members of New boosbeck decide what we make and how we make it., alongside our aim to Establish and develop new furniture making on Teesside for a global network.
