Suzanne Kingston will deliver a training course in relation to Arbitration – both Financial and Children. She spearheaded the training for the Family Law Arbitration Scheme and has trained all of the Arbitrators in England and Wales as well as helping with various schemes overseas.
The course will deal with the following:
- Introduction to Arbitration
- The Financial Scheme – what is in/what is out
- The Children Scheme – what is in/what is out
- The powers of the Arbitrator
- The Arbitration process
- How to conduct an Arbitration as a solicitor representing one of the parties – from engaging the arbitrator to asking the Court to make the Arbitral Award/Determination into an Order
- The Award/Determination
- The benefits of arbitration and the sorts of cases that are particularly suited to it
This will be followed by a question and answer session.

Speaker: Suzanne Kingston is a partner in the top-ranked family team at Withers LLP. Suzanne is widely known for her expertise in all aspects of family work, in particular the resolution of complex financial issues for high net worth individuals. Suzanne's cases often have an international element and she has considerable experience in dealing with prenuptial agreements and cohabitation issues. She is an Accredited Resolution Mediator and qualified Collaborative Lawyer. Suzanne is herself an Accredited Arbitrator.
