Description

We are very pleased to be running a FREE workshop as part of the fantastic New Cross Free Film Festival at the best bar in Deptford, Buster Mantis!

Join London Drawing Group on Tuesday 1st May as we delve into the world of early filmaking with Jean Cocteau’s seminal 1930 Avant Garde masterpiece ‘The Blood of a Poet’ as our guide.

This exciting workshop will be led by all three LDG tutors, which will draw from many elements of Cocteau's work including drawing from the film's most visually stunning scenes and compelling images. Expect a fun exploration into the suggestively biographical world of the director himself-Jean Cocteau.

PLEASE ARRIVE IN TIME TO GRAB A COCKTAIL BEFORE THE 7.30PM SCREENING

Materials including paper and drawing boards will be provided but please feel free to bring sketchbooks

Our life drawing classes are about promoting the enjoyment of art making and are open to all levels.
