Building on the success of Q-Day One in 2021, this year’s Harwell Q-Day will continue our Annual Quantum Celebration, showcasing success of the Quantum Community on Campus and welcoming others from further afield.

In the space of a year, the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) has come on in leaps and bounds, rapidly building its team and launching more operational activity in advance of completion of the NQCC facility. Momentum is building in Cluster #Four, with Quantum Technology firmly occupying this role, alongside Space, Energy and Life Science.

The existing Quantum activity on Campus in RAL Space, STFC Cryogenics, Element Six & RedWave Labs is thriving, and joined in the supply chain by Newport (owned by MKS) - with the extended Quantum Community running throughout Oxfordshire, plus the University spinouts and Inward Landings in Oxford itself.

Q-Day 2.0 takes place at the Satellite Applications Catapult, with talks, refreshments and lunch amongst a table-top exhibition, followed by optional Lab Visits after lunch.

With further speakers to be announced from NPL and RAL Space, we are pleased to share that we’ll be joined by Bruno Leone, ESA / QT-CCI, James Clark, Zapata Computing, Prof David Lucas, speaking on behalf of the QCS Hub, Matthew Hutchings, SeeQC, Mike Holynski, BHAM, Thomas Cervoni, Quantinuum, and Dr Simon Plant from NQCC.
