NEW DATE: Renal Conditions: Moving on up Together 2021
Event Information
About this Event
This study day has been postponed from 2 February 2020 due to the COVID situation.
Last year we held our forth 'Renal conditions: Moving on up together' study day. It was again a great success and due to popular demand we are running the fourth 'Renal conditions: Moving on up together' study day on Tuesday 2 February 2021 at University Hospital Southampton and online via Zoom. The programme can be viewed here.
Once again we are inviting you to attend the free educational day for paediatric and adult MDTs involved in looking after young people with kidney disease. The day will cover some of the more complex renal conditions moving to adult services.
Advances in medical care have led to the many more paediatric kidney patients surviving into adulthood with conditions that not so long ago would probably have been fatal in childhood. Whilst clearly very good news it can lead to a daunting experience for the MDT as they provide care for patients with conditions with which they are unfamiliar. This is in addition to the well documented challenges that the patient and family face as they move into adult care.
The study day will be an opportunity to review some of these renal conditions, share examples of good practice and resources that are working across the country and identify areas that require additional resource development. If you would like to present a case study/share resource please send a brief summary to arvind.nagra@uhs.nhs.ukThe style of the meeting will be informal, dynamic and interactive with plenty of time for discussion.
Booking your place
If you are attending as part of a group, please ensure that each individual registers themselves. It enables to ensure we have email addresses to keep in contact before and just after the event and enables us to send a CPD certificate to those who attended more easily.
Zoom link will be sent 7 days before the event.
