Event description

Description

Volatile societal changes and new digital technologies are revolutionising the food we eat, how and where we eat it.

New and innovative players are redefining our F&B experiences as we speak.

How can food and beverage brands prepare today and meet new customer demands for the next decade?

Portland Design invites you to explore knowledge and ideas on the trends that will shape the F&B sector and its impact on the wider consumer landscape in 2017 and beyond.

Join us and a line-up of industry thought-leaders and visionaries for an invigorating Wake-Up Call seminar.

Our speakers include: Professor Charles Spence Professor of Experimental Psychology and author of "Gastrophysics – The New Science of Eating"; Robert Colvile – Journalist and author of "The Great Acceleration", an exploration of how technology is speeding up our pace of life; Kaave Pour – Creative Director of Space 10, IKEA’s Innovation Lab and Tamira Snell – Senior Advisor and Futurist at Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies.

The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion about the future of the F&B sector. Our panellists include:

Jonathan Downey – Founder of Street Feast and London Union; David Abrahamovitch – Co-Founder of espresso bar Grind; Rob Wilson – Co-Founder of Toast Ale; Jonathan and Simon Phillips – Founders of Humpit Hummus; and Marie Hickey – Director of Savills Commercial Research, specialising in the Retail and Hospitality sectors.

Ticket includes a complimentary breakfast and gift bag, which includes free copies of the recently published books ‘Gastrophysics’ and ‘The Great Acceleration’, amongst other goodies. Please join us!

June 1st, 2017 8am-1pm.
