Alan Hough biography:

The son of a vet and originally from Galway in the West of Ireland, Alan graduated from University College Dublin. Since graduating Alan has worked exclusively in the UK, initially in mixed practice and then solely equine practices. Alan obtained a post graduate certificate in Equine Practice by examination in 2009. Alan’s enjoys all aspects of first opinion equine veterinary medicine with a special interest in equine dentistry and reproductive medicine. In 2009 he was selected as a finalist for the equine vet of the year award after been nominated by his former clients. Alan opened Celtic Equine Vets in 2010 as he felt there was a real need in the area for an exclusively equine ambulatory practice with an experienced vet who is committed to providing a highly professional and cost effective service. Since opening the practice has grown to 3 vets and has a large amount of modern mobile veterinary diagnostic equipment such as digital x-ray, ultrasound, video endoscope and video gastroscope.
