New Forest Walking Festival 2016: New Forest Toddle
Friday, 21 October 2016 from 09:30 to 14:00 (BST)
Join the New Forest Association to find out more about the traditional commoning rights in the New Forest National Park.
Join Graham Baker on a visit to the historic Verderers’ Hall to view the definitive map detailing rights of common. Follow this with a circular walk around the inclosures of Lyndhurst to visit a marlpit, some prepared fuelwood, and to stumble upon some pigs and ponies and how they are connected to the commoning rights.
Refreshments available in Lyndhurst at the start and end of the walk, or feel free to bring your own.
The distance may vary depending on the location of the pigs and ponies on the day.
