Description

A hike taking in some of the WWII experimental sites operating in the north of the New Forest. Our first section takes us through the site of Millersford Experimental Research Station where static explosives were tested before heading south to explore the WWII Bombing Range known as Ashley Walk. This walk will be an opportunity to explore what survives and will be brought to life using period photos including aerial and ground photography, oral histories, old documents and maps.

You can download the New Forest heritage mapping app to complement your walk (smart phone required).
