SPACE is pleased to announce NEW Gen NOW, a series of talks and events exploring cyberfeminist practices and narratives at The White Building.
Taking its cue from the cult cyberfeminist group VNS Matrix’s seminal computer game title All New Gen, NEW Gen NOW seeks to uncover cyberfeminist strategies in the current cultural sphere and beyond.

Cyberfeminsm and the Digital Diaspora is the first in the NEW Gen NOW series of talks and events at The White Building. The talk will focus on cyberfeminist art practice in relation to emergent digital diasporas and will question the circumstances under which these artist/activist communities emerge and exist.
Beth Siveyer is an artist, curator and founder of the Girls Get Busy zine takes the position “The sort of feminism you see celebrated in the media is very one-way – it’s hetero, white, middle-class feminism,” she explains. “But now we can make our own media.” Beth’s talk will address some of the key issues surrounding representation online for female artists and creatives today.
