This event is for anyone interested in joining the OPAL Primary Programme and improving playtime for the children at their school!
Agenda
11:30am–12pm Introduction to OPAL
An introduction to the programme with time for questions. This is open to anyone considering how to make their playtimes amazing.
12pm–1pm: Observation of playtime
Come and see a platinum OPAL playtime in action - ask the children about how they manage risk and the grown-ups about the changes they have seen.
1:10pm–1:15pm Final questions and summary
Times are subject to alterations of up to 30 mins. Attendees will receive an email confirming times in the week preceding the event.
About Pendragon Community Primary School
Pendragon is a 350-pupil community school. They started their OPAL journey in the summer of 2023 and achieved their OPAL Platinum Award in summer 2025.
Their play offer is outstanding, ensuring every child has a fantastic playtime every single day.
The school has a selection of large loose parts, a sandpit, a boat and lots of trees and bushes where children can create amazing dens and explore the natural environment. The play team supports the children's risky, adventurous, and creative play. The school is committed to continually improving their play offer, led by a fantastic OPAL working group – and helped by their supportive parents and local community.

Parking is limited on site but free parking is available on the roads surrounding the school.
Tea and coffee will be available but lunch will not be provided.
We keep numbers small so please get in touch if you can no longer come so we can release your place to another school.
