This event is for anyone interested in joining the OPAL Primary Programme and improving playtime for the children at their school!

12:10pm–1pm Observation of playtime
Come and see a platinum OPAL playtime in action– ask the children about how they manage risk and the grown-ups about the changes they have seen.
1:15pm–2:15pm OPAL introduction meeting
An introduction to the programme with time for questions. This is open to anyone considering how to make their playtimes amazing.
About Whitefield Primary School
Located in a suburban area of Penwortham, Preston, Whitefield Primary School has approximately 349 pupils on roll, from Reception to Year 6. It is a welcoming, friendly, and inclusive school with a strong sense of local community. The school is set in extensive grounds, featuring two playgrounds and two large playing fields.
The school believes that learning should be enjoyable, purposeful, and challenging for every child, enabling them to reach their full potential. Its aim is to equip each pupil with the skills needed to become independent and confident learners.
Whitefield has outstanding play provision and proudly achieved an OPAL Platinum Award in July. The school offers a wide range of play opportunities, including a large loose parts area, a spacious sandpit, a messy cafe, water play, den building, music, wheeled play, dressing up, arts and crafts, a sensory zone, and challenging climbing equipment.
The school's amazing play team is enthusiastic and supported by a fantastic OPAL working group. The level of purposeful and inclusive engagement seen at playtimes is truly outstanding.

The school has some parking and there is on-street parking close by.

Only two tickets per schools please. If you can no longer come, please let us know so we can release your place to another school.
