Event description

Description

All new members joining Regents Canoe Club must attend a New Members evening unless they’ve attended an Introduction to White Water Course.

The New Members evening offers a comprehensive induction to the club, a great opportunity to meet other new joiners and learn some basic paddling and safety skills to get you started on the water.

Even if you’ve paddled before it’s a chance to find out about Regents, get familiar with our kit, learn how to stay safe on club nights and go for your first paddle with us. These inductions are run by Regents members who are all volunteers.

To join Regents Canoe Club you must pay your yearly membership at the new members evening, please bring a credit/debit card or a cheque made payable to 'Regents Canoe Club'. Membership fee is £75 or £37.50 for concessions. Concessions membership fee available to those unemployed or in full time education, please bring proof to the new members evening. Your membership will be valid for the coming year, until May 31st 2020.

We ask everyone to pay on arrival, you will be given a chance to ask for your money back at the end of the introduction if you do not wish to join that evening. You must join in order to get onto the water after the introduction.
