About this event
Thanks to the General Practice Alliance, we are able to extend the free provision of a valuable guided/self help source across Northamptonshire Health and Social Care communities for staff, and patients/clients. Previously successfully used in the City of Northampton.
The Feeling Good app is accredited for use in the NHS to build mental strength and help recovery from stress, depression, anxiety and burnout. As an audio app, it is very simple to use, combining relaxation with goal oriented visualisations. There is no homework required, just listening brings immediate benefit and builds life skills. The good news is that not only does it help deal with everyday distress and mental health challenges, but also can help anyone be the best they can, to enrich their work and life experience.
Supported by evidence, the benefits of Feeling Good include:
- Better sleep
- Increased ability to focus and problem-solve to reach desired goals
- Increased self-confidence and sociability
- Resilience to stress
Join us for this one hour webinar where Alastair Dobbin, a Scottish GP, and Sheila Ross, a Psychotherapist, will talk about the science behind the Feeling Good App and how it can be used by anyone to build positive mental health, whether they have previously struggled with low mood, or are just looking for a way to boost their wellbeing!
By the end of this webinar you will be able to signpost patients to the app with the free codes to unlock the app contents, and Dr Dobbin and Dr Ross will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Patient info and free access codes available here.
You will receive Zoom details in your invite, and via email 2 hours before the event begins. We look forward to seeing you there!
