A practice sharing seminar for arts organisation and educators to explore some of the challenges and potential solutions to the persistent gap in this provision.
Parents and young people say it's impossible unless you ‘know somebody’; stretched arts organisations rarely have the resource to engage a young person across a whole week. Hosted by Lewisham Arts Education Network, this session will draw on LEANs recent experience of organising 2 5-day group work experience programmes based at Cockpit Studios and the Albany.
We will also explore other case studies from organisations within Lewisham beyond and discuss what further steps we can take. Speakers will include Chantelle Michaux, formerly Schools & Business Partnerships Manager from Waltham Forest Digital & Creative Careers Cluster.
