Event description

Description

Tuesday 15 May, 12-2pm. Free. Lunch and refreshments provided.

What can people with sight and hearing loss gain from a tailored art project and gallery programme? Hear directly from previous participants about their personal experience of innovative accessible practice taking place across Edinburgh.

As Artlink’s Investigate Create project comes to an end, we welcome participants, audiences, artists, cultural organisations and policy makers to share experiences and expertise, and look to new ways of working together.

The event includes a descriptive introduction to the Fruitmarket’s exhibition Lee Lozano Slip Slide Splice by artist and experienced visual describer Juliana Capes who will also facilitate a conversation with participants about their experiences.

There will also be an informal networking activity led by artist Anthony Schrag. The event will be supported by an electronic notetaker, loop system and English/BLS interpreter. We aim to be accessible to all, if you have access requirements you would like to discuss, please contact us by phone on 0131 225 2383 or email info@fruitmarket.co.uk
