Join Elaines Clay Club for fun and relaxed ceramics workshops in Mickleover DERBY.
We will learn a variety of beginner friendly hand-building ceramics skills and glazing techniques with a different theme or/and technique every session, this could be anything from ceramic tiles to making sculptures on a sealife theme ( you are also welcome to work on your own projects ). This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill and meet new people all within a creative, fun and friendly atmosphere.
These regular sessions allow you to come to just one, come on a regular basis or just pop in here and there as you please. So you may make a piece in one session, and then glaze/ paint your amazing creation in another.
Whether your new to clay or you have lots of experience all abilities are welcome. Children from age 6 onwards are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult, please contact me with any queries regarding accessibility.
Included in the price of each session is the use of my equipment and tools, clay for the activity and all firing and glazing. Extra items like more clay can be purchased during the workshop.

The community centre has a large free car park to the rear of the centre.

Accessibility
- Please contact Elaine for information about the suitability of her courses for ages and abilities before booking.
Health & Safety
- Elaine reserves the right to exclude any student we feel may be a danger to themselves or other students.
Bookings and cancellations
- Bookings – If you can not attend a workshop, for what ever reason, please contact elaine as soon as possible. options include transferring the date to another day, or offering your place to family and friends. If this is not possible and it is more than 48 hours before the start of the workshop a full refund will be offered.
- If your cancellation has been made less than 48 hours before the event and you can not transfer onto a future date, every effort will be made to fill your place, from further advertising and/or the reserves list. If your space can not be filled by another attendee and you are unable to arrange a replacement yourself unfortunately, no refund can be offered.
- In the unlikely event elaine has to cancel a class, you will be offered either a full refund or a transfer to another date. As much notice as possible will be given, however, elaine cannot be held responsible for your travel or accommodation costs.
