New To Practice: Embracing the journey within Primary Care

Aim of this Event

Who is this session for? All new to primary care.

What is purpose of session?

Primary Care presents its own unique culture, pressures, and challenges, often leaving newcomers feeling perplexed in this unfamiliar territory.

This engaging morning workshop aims to equip you with the knowledge and tools necessary to comprehend the inner workings of general practice, find your footing, and cultivate confidence and comfort in your new role.

Target Audience

All the primary care workforce who are new in practice in last 6 months (roughly).

For above job roles working across Bassetlaw, Mid-Notts, Nottingham City and South Notts.

Objectives

After attending this session it is expected that the learner will:

1. Information on the organisation and structure of Primary Care practices.

2. Overview of NHS and Primary Care structure.

3. What does Primary care culture mean?

4. Introduction on various team members in the Primary Care.

5. Insight in to the challenges faced by general practice.

6. A quick overview of Information Governance, consent and confidentiality.

7. QOF and CQC brief introduction.

• Please register with your nhs.net email where possible. If the event is oversubscribed, priority may be given to those who have registered with NHS addresses.
• You will receive a certificate for your attendance. Please allow two weeks for this to be delivered to your inbox. We would advise checking your junk mail before contacting NATH for your certificate at alliance.hub1@nhs.net

The meeting will be broadcast on the MS Teams platform. We recommend participants log on via a computer or laptop for an optimal experience.

This event is planned because respondents to the Nottinghamshire Alliance Training Hub (NATH) Primary Care Training Needs Analysis (TNA) 2024/25 suggested the topic as a local training need.
