About this event

This is a face to face session held at St Peter & St Paul's Church. Lunch is included.

This “Introduction to Spirometry” course is applicable for those who have never performed the test, are very new to the test, or have had a long break from spirometry and would like to go back to the beginning.

We will cover:

1) Anatomy and physiology of spirometry

2) Equipment, Correct technique and covid adaptations to spirometry

3) Pathophysiology

4) Practical session with the ability to perform and practice spirometry with appropriate PPE and safety measures (pending any governmental changes to advice)

5) Interpretation, common pitfalls and troubleshooting.

Please bring your spirometer and calibrating syringe if you have one, as well as several bacterial / viral filters for the practical.

We intend this to be a fully interactive and enjoyable day but if you have reservations about performing spirometry due to health / personal reasons please inform us prior to attending the course. A certificate of attendance will be provided either physically or electronically.

If you are booking more than one person on the session you need to ensure an email address is provided for each person

There are limited places on this course so please only book if you are certain you are able to make the date and time as tickets are non-refundable and must be paid prior to the course.
