About this event
NTBCC's next meeting will be on 13th December via the Zoom platform.
The full agenda for this meeting will be published 7 days prior on our website, https://www.ntbcc.org.uk/meetings/
We look forward to as many residents as possible joining us for this.
What's going to be discussed ?
After a few necessary formalities – the first agenda item will be a presentation by HUB on their proposals for 2 sites within Beaverhall / Beaverbank - Beaverhall House along Beaverbank Road and also the Sixt Car Rental site & Alien Bloc (along Dunedin Street), followed by Q&A.
More background can be found at

This will be followed by discussions under environment including an update and an opportunity to hear residents' views on the recent 'engagement' sessions on the Communal Bin HUb proposals in parts of Broughton / Bellevue (Phase 3 which covers the N1 Extended Parking Zone) which has now just finished. Despite there being elements of the proposal that we can support, we have however submitted several questions and concerns with the proposals as they stand.
The transport discussions start with the recent consultation on Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO's) for Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points on East London St, India Place & Heriot Row. This is followed by an update to the various 'Travelling Safely' ('Spaces for People') scheme ETRO's that will soon be issued for further consultation (including Broughton St & London Road amongst others), finally an update to the 'Trams to Newhaven' project (or as it's known locally - 'Trams to Broughton') including proposals for Elm Row public realm.
Then our draft response to the Public Spaces Management Plan consultation (known more formally as 'Use of Public Spaces in Edinburgh for Events & Filming') prior to a report / recommendations being submitted to the Council's Culture & Communities Committee early in 2022.
Then, under planning, we'll discuss our approach to the 'City Plan 2030' consultation (ends 20 December) as well as some other key planning issues, including the recent dismissal of the appeal against refusal of planning permission for Short Term Lets at 37A / 39 London Street. Also our final responses to the raft of 'temporary' Christmas facilities in NTBCC's area.
Licensing will cover any recent applications that may be of interest as well as a discussion on the the interactions between the licensing process and planning.
That should fill the 2 hours available comfortably but if there are other issues that local residents are interested in - then always happy to hear these, please contact us via https://www.ntbcc.org.uk/contact/
We'll then try to make time available under any other business to respond to any other issues or concerns raised.
