Description
Report Launch and discussion
Please Note: Doors open at 1:30pm for teas and coffees. The meeting starts promptly at 2pm.
Join local residents to discuss a positive future for transport across West Sussex.
The South Coast Alliance for Transport and the Environment (SCATE) have developed a vision for improving transport for everyone living, working and visiting the Sussex Coast. This launch presents a new integrated approach to transport – for walking, cycling, bus, rail and private transport. We want to see a transport system that ensures that existing and future communities at all stages in life and whatever their needs can enjoy real transport choices and a better quality of life.
Please join us at the Bassil Shippam Centre for our 'local launch' of the report 'A New Transport Vision for the Sussex Coast'. We will also be welcoming Theatre Inc to help us explore the issues of transport. Theatre Inc. is an award winning, specialised training company that supports young performers living with disability to create theatre that defies expectation. Please see their website for more details: http://www.theatreinc.org.uk/
There will be a presentation by Theatre Inc followed by a presentation of the 7- Point Plan put forward by SCATE.
In addition we will be looking at John Grimshaw's latest visionary plans to bring Centurion Way right into Chichester. This could be a huge benefit for exisiting and future residents and enhance this well-loved path.
We look forward to welcoming you to the event – to book this FREE event just book a ticket by clicking REGISTER on this page.
Organised by South Coast Alliance for Transport and the Environment (SCATE) in conjunction with ChiCycle, Chichester's Cycle Campaign.
