Description

Central Saint Martins hosts New Writing Platform on the arts and politics

The new MA Dramatic Writing at Central Saint Martins is delighted to announce the third event in their New Writing Platform series.

The New Writing Platform series is an occasional series of talks and events run in partnership with the dramatic writing industry, providing a platform to share and explore new ideas going on in the dramatic writing industry.

On the 30th April, as the third event in the New Writing Platform series, Central Saint Martins will host the launch of The PAAS Foundation, a new foundation to support arts students to engage with politics.

The free event will run from 6.30pm – 8.00pm and will include an In Conversation event with Fin Kennedy on his In Battalions movement amongst other speakers.

This will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.

The free event will explore how we can engage with politics, the organisations out there and why it might be useful to do so.

Held a week before the election, arts students of all ages and experiences (and arts students in any sense of the word) are invited to attend this event.

Please note tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Update: Confirmed speakers now include Fin Kennedy, Artistic Director of Tamasha, on In Battalions, Phelim McDermott, Artistic Director of Improbable, on Devoted and Disgruntled, playwright David Edgar on the British Theatre Consortium, Daniel Harrison on What Next and Liberty Martin on In Battalions and Operation Mobilise.
