Description

Join us for this special New Year wellness retreat to pamper the body and mind.

Indulge yourself in this luxurious weekend retreat set in a beautiful former monastery near Henley-on-Thames.

This relaxing weekend retreat combines yoga, meditation, guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra) and wellness/goal setting sessions to provide you with a blissful weekend of pampering and relaxation. A little me-time to start the new year with a focus on self-care. We will help you to reduce stress, clear the mind, recharge the batteries and even set goals for the year ahead. Choose from a luxury facial treatment to relax the facial and shoulder muscles or a non touch Pranic Healing treatment to remove your stress or a reflexology session.

Delight in the vegan food, vegan certified nutrition information and a 10 or 20 minute luxury facial treatment to relax the facial and shoulder muscles or a 10 or 20 minute non touch Pranic Healing treatment to remove your stress or a 10 or 20 minute reflexology session.

Flexible Booking - One or Two Days!

The retreat has flexible booking options - you can book for Saturday, Sunday or both days, depending on just how much relaxation you wish to enjoy. There is optional accomodation at the venue at a separate cost starting from £40 per person per night (this is booked directly with the venue).

What Does the Retreat Include?

The retreat includes either one or two carefully planned retreat days in this beautiful venue. There are two yoga sessions each day, a 1-2-1 treatment with Kate (see at the bottom for exact details on this), 2019 goal setting workshop (Sunday), sleep, detox and mindfulness talks across the two days and various meditation and Yoga Nidra sessions.

Saturday - Detox and Destress

Saturday will begin with a warm welcome from your hosts Kate, Mon and Susan accompanied by a delicious vegan herbal infusion tea and healthy snack. The aim of the day is to help you to detox and destress through our programme of yoga, meditation, detox talk, vegan food and mindfulness talks.

In the morning you will experience a Detoxing Yoga practice beginning with a mindful breath practice, moving into a flow class to stimulate the physical, mental and energetic body and ending with a 'happy gut' themed Yoga Nidra Reaxation. You will feel calmer, more focused and de-stressed. This will be followed by a special element balancing meditation.

Saturday afternoon also includes a Gentle Hatha Yoga session to calm the body and mind. This is a gentle flowing style of yoga that is suitable for all levels. The afternoon also includes an optional talk on mindfulness in everyday life.

At the end of your day enjoy a Vegan Protein Shake (pea, cranberry and rice proteins) which comes in Vanilla or Chocolate flavours to rejuvenate the muscles after your yoga workout and a refreshment designed to rehydrate the body and boost the immune system.

In the evening there is an optional dinner provided at the venue at a cost of £20 per head (whether you stay at te venue or not - we will need to know on booking of your place please), an optional 'deep sleep' Yoga Nidra session to get you really ready for bed and plenty of time to talk to your hosts.

Sunday - Relax and Recharge

Sunday is all about relaxing even more and then recharging the batteries ready to tackle 2019 with a bang. Again we start the day with a welcoming session and warming herbal tea.

The day then starts with a wake-up healing meditation - perfect on a Sunday morning. After a short break we flow into a gentle Yin Yoga practice. which ends with a short energising Yoga Nidra. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time—for beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more. Yoga nidra or yogic sleep is among one of the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. Think of it like a guided relaxation or meditation. Yoga nidra can be used therapeutically for healing, as well as to enhance creativity and productivity and to improve sleep and general health.

On Sunday again you will enjoy a healthy vegan lunch. Then we move into a special Goal Setting and Vision Board Workshop. This is a special workshop to help you focus your mind for 2019 using meditation and creative techiques to find your purpose for the year. The rest of the afternoon will consist of a grounding yoga practice and a special optional talk on dealing with sleep issues and insomnia.

Don't forget that although we have planned lots of lovely sessions for you to enjoy, absolutely everything is optional! If you feel the need to stroll around the grounds, read a book or go and have a well-needed sleep then please do so. This is your retreat!

Throughout both days there will be the opportunity to book your 1-2-1 treatment with Kate. This will be booked on arrival - further details of available slots will be released nearer the time.

This will be a relaxing yet uplifting retreat that will have you feeling restored and ready to face the world with a renewed energy for life.
