New Year's Reserve Walk

By Cornwall Wildlife Trust

Overview

Join us for an informal guided walk this January exploring the Breney Common and Helman Tor Reserve (Photo Credit: Claudia Phillips).

Come and join us at our Helman Tor complex of reserves on Friday 28th November at 10am to experience Winter on the reserve. The walk will begin at Gunwen chapel before heading onto the reserve and experiencing all the season has to offer. This event is funded by the Species Survival Fund Project.

What to expect from the day:

Please join us at 10am at Gunwen Chapel where parking is available. We will shortly set off onto the nature reserve for an informal walk.

The walk will take approximately 2 hours. On returning to the chapel you are welcome to stay for refreshments and the opportunity to talk to Cornwall Wildlife Trust Staff about the reserve and the work that the Species Survival Fund project has been delivering so far.

Important Information:

Toilets are available at Gunwen chapel before and after the walk. Although the walk will be taken at a slow pace, participants will need to be comfortable both standing and walking on uneven, muddy and slippery terrain for extended periods of time.

Wellies are recommended as there can be areas of deep mud in Winter.
