New Year's Wild Flower Hunt

The Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland will hold its 15th New Year Plant Hunt between 1 and 4 January 2026. During the previous hunt in Brompton Cemetery on 30 December 2024, we found 29 different plants in flower.

No expertise is required, please come along and see what we can find.Your volunteer guide, Roy Vickery, is a researcher and lecturer on plant folklore. Following his career as a botanist at the Natural History Museum, he continues to serve as a Scientific Associate there. He has collected plant folklore for over four decades, producing some 130 publications on the subject.
