Newbrough Roman Wall Circular
Wed 5 April 2017, 10:30 – 15:30 BST
Join our guided walk; the Newbrough Roman Wall Circular.
Our route heads north from Newbrough passing near to Carr Edge, the site of the first boy scout camp led by Baden Powell in 1908. After picking up Hadrian's Wall, we head west with good views into the North Tyne Valley.
After a short diversion to the Temple of Mithras at Brocolitia we then head downhill over rough ground before returning to Newbrough via St Peter's Church.
Discover the best routes in the Northumberland National Park on our Volunteer Guided Walks. Get outside, enjoy your time walking and leave the planning and navigation to us; it’s what we’re best at.
