Come and join Micheal at the Quaker Meeting house, where you can expect a warm welcome, and an abundance of soothing, calming healing energies. This is a Gong bath with a difference. As a Gong and Reiki Master Micheal will provide you with a triune of three vibrational energies, Crystal,Reiki and Sound, all blended together with spiritual Intent to provide you with a psycho-acoustic experience like no other.

Once settled and comfy inside the Gong space Micheal;s Feng Gong will take you on a journey where time itself can seem distorted, and where altered states await you.The Gong has a tremendous potential for lowering stress, calming and healing the mind and body, as it covers the full spectrum of sound, vibrating, and massaging every one of the trillions of cells that make up your body. These healing vibrations are fully absorbed and assimilated, some more than others, depending upon the pitch of the gong. While on this journey we are returned to an intrinsic state of homeostasis, or optimal state of functioning.

Welcome To The Newcastle Quaker Meeting House

Micheal has been hosting regular monthly Gong Baths at the Quaker Meeting House, in Gosforth Newcastle since July 2021. This beautiful building is the perfect venue, offering a calming spiritual feel, perfect for my Gong healing sessions. And its right in the heart of Gosforth just off the high street close to the Trinity church. Doors open at 1.30 for a prompt 2 pm start. You will find us on the first floor. Staff at the house will be on hand to let you in and out. The venue has disabled access and a lift as well as toilets on both floors.

Although West Avenue has some parking restrictions, there is a small car park to the rear of the building. There is provision to park on the wide pavement at the front of the house, as well as several car parks close by, including; Trinity Church just across the road which also has a coffee shop- Regent Centre - Gosforth Centre - Salters Road - St Nicholas Avenue - and Asda Car park. If you are travelling by public transport to Gosforth, the high street and Regent centre interchange is only a 3 minute walk away, while Newcastle centre is only 6 minutes away by bus or metro.

Preparation

Please try to avoid any large meals, and alcohol prior to arriving. It is quite normal for your body temperature to drop during a Gong Bath, and warm loose fitting clothes are recommended. The room is heated and carpeted in our room, but a yoga mat, cushion and blanket is still recommended. Alternatively many attendees now bring a sleeping bag, and cushion, to stay warm and comfy.

Micheal has several Yoga Mats,blankets and cushions, eye covers and knee supports (for those with lower back problems)that you can use. Being flat on the floor with your head facing the gongs will provide the best experience.The Quaker house has several high backed armchairs for those who prefer to sit, and you can request any of these by emailing me prior to the event.

If you have not experienced a Gong Bath before don’t worry there is no swimming involved, or ‘getting wet’. The term ‘bath’ relates to you being ‘bathed’ in sound waves. A Gong Bath is a very unique experience where it can feel different each time, and also different for everyone present.

Your Healing Journey Begins Here

• Fasten your seat belts and enjoy the experience.Once you are comfortable and settled Micheal will give a brief introduction and set the intention, which you can repeat, or you can choose your own. He will then guide you with Deep belly breathing which uses two breaths in and a long deep breath out. This will remove more C02 (Carbon Dioxide) from your body than any other breathing method, together with any any stale stagnant energy that has been trapped in your body. This method is also more effective in lowering stress, anxiety and tension as well as your blood pressure and providing more relaxation for your body.
• With the eyes closed, and coupled to the deep breathing will help slow your brain waves from Beta, to Alpha, while having a direct positive effect on the vagus nerve causing your parasympathetic nervous system to relax the bodies main organs.
• The crystals you will be holding have been Reikied so you will receive both Crystal and Reiki healing energy for as long as you hold them.
• Micheal's short guided meditation will be Chi Kungs Inner smile, which will initially send healing energy directly into your lungs and heart, but you are free to carry on using this for any other organs or areas of your body you want to concentrate on.
• As the Gong begins your brainwaves will slow further taking you beyond Alpha into Theta and possibly Delta.

Your Healing Journey Continued

• Now you can focus on healing energy from the gong flowing through your body,or you can focus on your slow rhythmic breathing, or let your mind wander to some nice positive places, or you can even allow yourself to fall asleep if you want, and you will still receive all the benefits.Many people cycle through each of these
• Your bodies vibrational rate will begin to rise, to match the higher vibrations from the Sound, Crystals, and Reiki. As this happens any harmful negative energy in your body will begin to collapse, and fall away and this will initiate your body to begin healing itself.
• Your levels of calm and relaxation will increase, plus the soothing of your nervous system, strengthening your immune and energy systems and releasing a host of hormones to make you feel good.
• During the Gong Bath you will be transported on a journey where you will feel the connection with the universe. These connections produce profound levels of peace and calmness as well as unconditional absolute love.
• The session eventually comes to an end, as the Gong falls silent. This is not an empty silence however, it is a sacred silence created by the gong sounds fading away, full of intense profound healing power, many people find this part of the session the most powerful.
• Included with the cost of your ticket, and starting from the following evening Micheal will send you a distant Reiki healing session each evening right up to the following Sunday.

What should I expect during a session?

Come with an open heart and a smile, and expect the unexpected, where healing and calmness are possible. A journey where your body is re-booted, re-calibrated and cleansed as the vibrations massage every one of your bodies 37 trillion cells,and where the healing qualities are fully absorbed, and assimilated, some more than others, depending upon the pitch of the gong. All the good things coming your way is of a benevolent nature, full of love, healing and positive intentions.

Is It Safe For Me?

Taking part in a combined Sound, Crystal,Reiki and Chi Kung healing session is considered safe for most people, regardless of age or fitness level, and my sessions are open to anyone from 18 years of age. Teenagers of 16 to 17 may attend with a parent.

Purely as a precautionary measure it is not recommended if you are pregnant, or have a pacemaker, epilepsy, or seizures. Or if you have schizophrenia or Bipolar. If you are in any doubt about any of your medical conditions please speak with your GP first.

The Gongs

Gongs are one of the oldest and most powerful therapeutic and transformational instruments on this world. For thousands of years these timeless instruments have been used for, ceremonies, rituals, prayers, and meditation. Sound Healing can raise our bodies vibration, and at the same time slow down our brainwaves, together this greatly enhances the body’s natural ability to regenerate and heal itself, and reach its optimal state of functioning, while offering a psycho-acoustic gateway to a heightened state of consciousnesses, as the sound frequencies surpass the intellectual part of the brain before travelling to the core of the bodies cellular system which where the healing qualities can be fully absorbed and assimilated.

The late theoretical physicist "David Bohm" discovered that when a Gong is played, the metal becomes “excited”, and the electrons become highly charged electromagnetically, forming a huge plasma field to be created off the Gong and both the player and listener becomes part of that field. When the vibrational activity of the Gong ends, the electrons ‘go back’ to their original atoms, and once the Gong comes to rest the energy field collapses. When the Gong is revved up again the Plasma field expands and intensifies. Thus from a scientific point the participants of the event are being electromagnetically charged in a positive, benevolent and holistic fashion. Many walk away with a natural buzz that in some case has lasted for a week. Metal is the only material known where the electrons leave their atoms and join other atoms

The Gongs have a tremendous potential for healing and rejuvenation, and are played with a variety of mallets, and styles of play to overly avoid a monotonous rhythm. Each Gong is capable of producing not only beautiful tones, but complex rich overtones. These haunting magical sounds from the gong can quickly entrain our brainwaves to slow down from the normal waking "Beta state" into the lower "Alpha" and "Theta" states and for many the journey will take them even deeper into the "Delta". state.

These altered states of consciousness are well researched and shown to reduce tension and stress, improve blood pressure, elevate our moods, calming our minds, whilst promoting healing and wellbeing. Coupled with our increased vibrational rate help connect us to our higher selves and the universe.

Experiencing Energies

During a Crystal Reiki Gong Bath it is very possible you will feel the connection with the universe, and even the creator of all things. This can be a very memorable and emotional experience for many, but in a truly good and positive way. While you are in the protection and safety of the Gong Space, many people will experience positive feelings of peace, bliss,contentment, happiness, joy, compassion and love throughout the session as your body begins resonating at a higher frequency from the combination of Crystals, Reiki and Sound Vibrations.

It is possible for some people to experience very brief moments of anxiety, grief or sadness while harmful negative energies are momentarily brought back into our consciousness, before they collapse, and fall away and this is perfectly normal and beneficial release to maintain our mental health.

Should this happen you can restart your deep belly breaths. You can also restart the simple Inner smile at any point, aiming the smile at the centre of the negative memory, image or trauma which has come into your awareness. This will help to re-ground you, and minimise any anxieties or other negative feelings associated with the event, should it happen. Micheal also incorporates periods of silence or "Sandhya" between the sounds, in order to help your mind reorganise and release any negative experiences,and feelings. The 7 Crystal Reiki healing sessions you will receive afterwards, will also help greatly to completely re balance you and your energy.

Eat, Sleep Gong

Micheal is very passionate about all of his vibrational therapies that he practices. His love for these instruments dates back to 2016 when fate intervened and he acquired his very first Gong. Several years, and Gongs later his love affair with these beautiful sacred instruments has developed and blossomed out of all recognition to when he first started playing.He derives great pleasure and enjoyment in hosting his Gong Baths at his premiere event at the Quaker Meeting House, in Newcastle. These are on the last Sunday of every month (except December) 2 pm to 3.15 pm. He also has weekly, monthly and seasonal Sound and Gong Baths at his Studio near Blyth.
