Where do Newcastle Film Festival screenings take place?
Screenings will take place in venues across the city and Gateshead, from cinemas to more unique venues. A full list of participating venues will be announced shortly.

When will the Newcastle Film Festival film programme be announced?
We will be annoncing the programme of shortlisted films early 2018, however keep your eyes on our social media pages as we may announce special events earlier!

Concession Rates?
Our concession rates are for children. A child includes anyone under 16 years of age, and above 18months old. Our babes in arms policy means, children under 18months are permitted to attend events without a ticket , but will not be allocated a seat.

Is Newcastle Film Festival accessible?
We have selected venues that cater for various accessibility requirements. If you would like to book accessibility tickets please email events@newcastlefilmfestival.co.uk

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Many of our screenings will not have been reviewed by the BBFC however the majority of screenings will be certificate 12A with some certificate 15+ . Please consult the Film Festival programme (available early 2018) so you can make an informed decision. Family friendly screenings and activity is scheduled.

What's the refund policy?
All passes are non-refundable and non-transferrable unless in the event of a postponement/cancellation of the event.

Do I have to bring my ticket to the event?
Yes, print your ticket from the order confirmation email or pull it up in the Eventbrite app on your mobile device to make sure you're ready to attend.

Can I buy tickets on the door?
Newcastle Film Festival will have on-site Box Office so you can purchase tickets, however we are expecting some special events to sell out so advise early booking.

What does a Multi Pass gain access to?
A Multi Pass allows entry to our shortlisted film screenings (selected by our Judges) and does not include access to special events (e.g. Fright Night, Eat-A-Long Cinema) Gala events (e.g. Premieres, Closing Ceremony) or Industry specific events (e.g. Masterclasses, Industry Networkers). Tickets for these events will be available to purchase in addition to your Multi Pass. A standard Multi Pass offers entry to 6 screenings.

What else is happening alongside the films?
Newcastle Film Festival will have a large Opening Ceremony on 29th March, which is free to attend. Full details will be announced via our Social Media pages, this will be a free of charge non-ticketed event. During the festival there will be a range of special premieres, industry networkers and masterclasses which will be ticketed.
