What’s it like to be on the Newcastle Futures Team?
We believe what matters to our customers should matter to us, so we listen, encourage and support them on their journey. Why, because we believe in people’s potential, and we also know that everyone needs a little help sometimes.
We understand that people need someone to be a good listener and a motivator as well as someone who is able to work with other agencies that can help our customers. We must be empathetic and enthusiastic, able to pick people up on their bad days, helping them see a future and not give up and celebrate their successes with them.
We are not just providing a personalised employability service; we are helping people find their right next step and building a better life. We make sure the environment we meet in is comfortable for our customers, which is why we meet in local venues across the city or if our customers are able to use video calling, telephone, social media and email we use that too. We often help our customers use the digital route and we do this in ways that ensure the customer grows their abilities and confidence and does not feel excluded.
We have a deep understanding of the barriers and challenges faced when people are out of work and need to access support to find employment, training, or further education, and we can help advice our customers how to navigate the steps to getting what they need.
As a team we are flexible, agile, and innovative, working some of the time from home means our team members need to have a good Wi-Fi connection, a comfortable, safe and private area to offer confidential support to customers.
Above all we work as a team, the support of each other is crucial, as only as a team are we truly successful. No one does this job alone, we are always there for one another to share the ups and downs and make every day count, to make sure we add value to our customers success.
If you want to know more about us, check out our website www.newcastlefutures.co.uk. Or ring one of the team and ask them what it’s like to work together, we trust each other to give you a warm, honest answer.
This job is initially offered on a fixed term basis for 12 months but may be longer subject to funding and performance.
