Newcastle in the Sky - The Gin Bar
Tue 29 August 2017, 21:45 – 22:15
For an exclusive period, Events in the Sky will operate a 6 day pop-up restaurant in Newcastle. Open to the public, this event will see some of the North East's best restaurants transfer their menus and dining experiences to our unique sky table, suspended 100 feet in the air. The table seats 22 guests, with guest chefs and waiting team serving from the pop-up kitchen in the centre of the table whilst in the sky. Guests are securely fastened into their seats before the table is raised to the dining height of 100 feet and their gourmet experience begins. It’s truly a gastronomic experience like no other!
THE GIN BAR
The GIN Bar is unlike any other bar in Newcastle, possibly the North East, allowing customers to design and engineer their own gin-based Martinis. They choose the liquor, the garnish, the vermouth, and how they like it. This distinctive approach to cocktail making will allow thousands of different combinations – more than 27,000. The location for such invention is the perfect setting as the bar is close to the historic Stephenson Works that was home to the Robert Stephenson and Co Locomotive Works built in 1829. From the invention of drinks to the design of the menus, the theme acknowledges the impressive industrial history that Newcastle, and particularly the Stephenson Quarter, is famous for. The Gin Bar allows you to socialise with work colleagues or have a quiet catch up with a close friend.
