Event description

Description

NUTS is excited to bring one of their Spring plays to Gosforth Civic Theatre.

Three sisters arrive at their remote childhood home on the eve of their mother’s funeral. Having grown apart, the siblings argue and joke as they sort through their mother’s belongings and relive old memories. Dealing with emotional bruises from their past and issues in the present, The Memory of Water is a hilarious and heart-breaking testament to what we fear most – losing someone both in life and death. First performed in 1996, this play won the 2000 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.
