Event description
Have you been diagnosed with MS in the last 5 years? Would you like to connect virtually with other people who've recently been diagnosed?

About this Event

We're delivering virtual Wellbeing Sessions to people across the U.K.

These sessions are for people who have been diagnosed with MS in the last five years and are a chance to chat, reflect on and share experiences. We'll also look at different ways to support you to live well with MS.

The sessions will take place on Thursday 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th November from 6.30pm to 8.00pm

What does the virtual session include?

The virtual session is made up of 4 modules which take place over 4 weeks. Each week you will be sent some reflective materials to read, consider and work through before taking part in a 1.5 hour virtual meeting. These virtual meetings will bring you together with a small group of people who have been newly diagnosed with MS to have a chat around specific topics. We ask that you attend all 4 modules, where possible. This will give you the opportunity to meet other people who may share similar experiences to you from across the U.K.

These sessions aim to help you to:-

  • Share your experience of MS with others
  • Feel more confident to set up and successfully achieve your daily goals
  • Understand what "self-management" is
  • Learn new skills to help support you live well with MS

Following the sessions you’ll have the opportunity to stay in touch with others online.

What will I need to take part?

All you need to join in is a laptop/tablet/phone/computer with access to a microphone and camera - this will allow you to be seen and heard during the virtual sessions. You will need a stable internet connection to use the video meeting software that we use.

What if I haven’t been sent the link

We send an email with a link and some reading to everyone who completes the registration form on Eventbrite and books a place. The email we send might go into your spam or junk folder so please check before the sessions start that you can find it.

What should I do if I can no longer attend?

If you find that you are unable to take part please get in touch by using the following details below to let us know so we can offer up your place to someone else.
