NEW!Many ways of accessing finance with ICAEW
Tue 8 November 2016, 10:30 – 12:00 GMT
In the UK traditional bank finance is being challenged by new banks and internet finance providers. But 80% of Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) finance is still provided by the four main UK banks. Later in 2016 the traditional banks will be required to refer businesses refused finance to government approved alternative finance platforms.
In this presentation with Noor Choudhary, we will address some of the basics of business finance, how to get more out of traditional banks but also to find out how peer-to-peer lending works and how the proposed new bank referral scheme will give SMEs more choice of finance most appropriate for their business’ stage of development.
Noor is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He brings with him extensive commercial and financial experience having trained with Grant Thornton and then working with KPMG specialising in the financial services sector audit. He has also worked with BlackRock as a technical specialist in the Group’s financial reporting division. Noor is a partner at CapShire, providing audit, accounting and tax services to SMEs.
