Newport Mind's Talking Tables for Time to Talk Day
Event Information
About this event
Time to Talk Day takes place on Thursday 3rd February 2022. Newport Mind and Le Public Space will be hosting 'Talking Tables' for you to get involved with! Come along and chat with us, find out about the services Newport Mind can offer, or just get to know someone new. Our Wellbeing and Children and Young People advisers will be on hand to chat with you.
The Talking Tables will be a space for you to meet new people and have a conversation around mental health. We'll also have information and useful leaflets on hand for you.
Talking Tables will be held in line with Government guidelines with a maximum of 6 people per table. Track and trace will be in place and we ask that you wear a face covering (unless exempt) whilst you are not at the table.
Refreshments will be available for purchase from Le Public Space.
Time to Talk Day is about us all being open to the idea of talking – we all have mental health, and by having conversations about it we can help ourselves and others. It’s not about encouraging people to talk about a mental health problem if they don’t want to.
The day is all about creating supportive communities by having conversations with others about mental health. We all have mental health, by talking about it we can support ourselves and others.
We know that conversations about mental health have the power to change lives. Recent research shows how important open conversations in communities are to support everyone’s mental wellbeing.
