It’s a time of some of the biggest news headlines in recent history and unprecedented social and political events. And yet interest in news is in decline, as is trust in news media thanks in part to fake news and bad news fatigue. At the same time, audiences are also changing how and when they consume news relying on social media rather than traditional media platforms.

Led by journalists and experts from the University of Worcester, this talk, and Q&A session will explore some of the issues affecting news journalism today and how reporters and editors are reacting.
