About this event

Business • Career

HR truly stands at a crossroads. Alongside massive changes in the world of work, we can now prove exactly how the HR function can create business value. This powerful combination provides new opportunities to build HR’s credibility, influence and impact.

The key is the quality of the relationship between HR and business leaders. When HR partners strategically, Gartner calculate that this can deliver 9% increase in profitability. But what does strategic partnering really mean and how do you get there?

In this webinar we explore some key elements in this journey, including how to:

  1. Become more business savvy and credible with business leaders
  2. Shift relationships with business leaders – change HR’s narrative, and HR’s conversations
  3. Advocate more effectively for the HR priorities that are critical success factors for business
  4. Build your reputation and influence as partners in business success
  5. Get your HR team lined up behind business priorities.

If you want to be challenged and inspired, to learn new approaches and build your courage to choose change then this session is for you.

Deborah Wilkes FCIPD

Deborah was Head of HR for Europe in the IT and pharmaceutical industries before consulting in HR, OD, and leadership and management development in world-leading organisations for 20 years. In 2016 she and co-founder George Naylor researched what organisations need from HR, and Enable-HR International was born.

Deborah partners with clients to increase the impact of HR and has become an influential thought leader, writer and speaker. She brings together deep experience and understanding of not only HR’s challenges but also the exciting opportunities opening up in today’s world for HR to build its influence and stature.

Two characteristic themes drive the work that Deborah does with her team at Enable-HR International – i) turning HR into a function that is business-led, and ii) bringing all parts of HR into One HR Team that’s united and aligned so that they deliver more from their resources.

Deborah is based in UK and works with clients internationally including GE, Legal & General, Diageo, AMP, Roche Pharma and many more organisations of varying sizes and sectors.

Deborah’s book ‘Empowering HR’ was published in 2021 and is endorsed by Dave Ulrich.
