Decarbonising heat is one of our greatest challenges in achieving net-zero. City-wide heat networks are already common in Europe and have a key role to play in providing Scotland’s cities and towns with reliable, low-carbon, low-cost heat.

Denmark has a long experience of heat networks at scale, with 63 percent of all building heat supplied by heat networks.
