Next Steps Crochet: 1 Skein Shawl

This workshop is aimed at improving beginners and beyond. It uses the basic UK chain, half treble, treble and double treble crochet stitches. Boost your confidence and learn how to read patterns and charts.

To participate in this class you should be able to do UK treble or double crochet confidently - we will learn the rest of the stitches in the workshop.

You will receive a pattern, notes and 100g of luxurious Lang Magnolia merino yarn (RRP £19.45).

You should bring your preferred 6mm hook.

We will use the Etto scarf pattern, designed by Fiona. It is a wide triangular shape which can be worn as a light neckerchief in spring or summer, and fits neatly under a coat in the autumn and winter. Choose to tie it at the neck, fix it with a shawl pin or add buttons to secure the ends. As the scarf is worked from the bottom tip up, the triangular shape is there from the very beginning so you can continue with confidence at home.

This pattern is a great option for making gifts - make one for everyone for Christmas! You only need 100g of yarn for each one!

• You can cancel via Eventbrite up to 30 days before the event with no penalty. Eventbrite’s fees are non-refundable, so they won't be returned to the ticket buyer unless the event is cancelled.
• Closer to the event there is a sliding refund scale, depending on the proximity to the event. Please inform Fiona that you are withdrawing from the class with as much notice as possible.
• Cancellations: If you need to cancel, please let me know as soon as you can so I can offer your ticket to somebody on the waiting list. If a replacement cannot be found, the refund is 50% between 30 & 14 days before the event with no refund within 14 days. All efforts will be made to re-sell your ticket, allowing you a full refund.
• If the class is cancelled you will get a full ticket refund, or the option to transfer onto a later class. Travel/accommodation expenses will not be refunded.
• Under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adults. No children under 12.
