About this event
- Event lasts 1 hour
Have you made a start with programming micro:bits and want to dive deeper?
In this CPD webinar we explore the teaching and learning of computational thinking and data logging using the power of micro:bits.
This webinar is a follow on from the ‘Getting started with micro:bits’ webinar. We would advise you to watch this webinar recording here if you are brand new to micro:bits and have not attended the getting started session.
In this webinar will explore:
- Programming the main input and output of micro:bits, specifically the buttons, the LED display and the inbuilt sensors in Free Code micro:bit
- Deep dive into the programming of selection, sequencing and variables with micro:bits
- Exploring the data logging capabilities in conjunction with 2Graph
Benefits and outcomes:
- Understanding how programming physical devices can stimulate computational thinking
- Understand how the Purple Mash Scheme of Work can support you in delivering the computing curriculum in your class;
- Save time when planning and finding resources;
To get the best out of the session you will need:
- A laptop/chromebook device with a USB port
- A micro:bit with a USB lead (battery pack optional)
